THE WALL COLLECTION · BY HOME STANDARD
Objects for
keeping time.
The Wall Collection is a study of time as an object.
Eight sculptural clocks crafted for their form,
material, proportion, and presence in a space.
THE APPROACH
We looked beyond the clock as an instrument and considered
what it becomes when placed on a wall.
Each piece is crafted to exist somewhere between functional
object and wall sculpture. Some are defined by light.
Others by wood, stone, geometry, or negative space.
Together, they form a deliberately limited collection.
ARTIST REFERENCES
Art gives form a language.
Throughout The Wall Collection, individual pieces are paired
with artist references that help place their visual character
in context.
A reference may come from the way a piece handles movement,
balance, material, light, geometry, or negative space.
From Alexander Calder’s sense of suspended form to Isamu
Noguchi’s relationship with material and James Turrell’s use
of light, these references offer another way to read the objects.
